Do programs to reduce housing cost burden also reduce young people’s exposure to violence?

In research recently funded by the Centers for Disease Control, we will test whether policies designed to reduce housing cost burden will (1) reduce families’ contact with Child Protective Services, (2) reduce exposure to violence in the community, as measured by police reports of violent crime, and (3) reduce substantiated reports of abuse and neglect.
